While executing a work order, the maintenance technician may have to perform additional work and need to record it.
There are three ways to record additional work performed:
- Create another work order;
- Add tasks to the work order being executed;
- Create a work order related to the work order being executed.
Create related work order
To create a work order related to the work order being executed, follow these steps:
- Go to Work | Work Orders;
- Select the work order being executed;
- Click Operations and then Create Related Work Order;
- The window for creating the new work order opens, with all the data from the original work order and the Source Work Order field filled in automatically. Note: attachments, follow-ups, additional tasks, and cost details are not copied. This operation can be performed by the technician.
- Click Save.
