In the personnel expenditure budget, there is a distinction between the initial salary and the mandatory and/or optional changes to the remuneration position, and its corresponding budget execution.

In the Personnel Distribution Matrix, you can split the expenditure's economic classifications between the salary amounts before the increase and the amount of the increase itself (whether from a mandatory or optional change). These splits are restricted to the salary, vacation allowance, and Christmas allowance, and are configured by staff type.

To do this, two settings must be made, in the Administrator and in the Employee File:

  • Connection to Accounting in the Administrator: in this area, you need to define the accounts that affect the split of the economic classification for increases, whether mandatory or optional;

  • Employee File: you must make sure the data related to Staff Type and Change Reason is filled in on the various tabs;

To handle the distribution of the economic classification for increases, follow these steps:

Configuring the connection to Accounting in the Administrator

  1. Go to Administrator | Human Resources | Connection to Accounting | Tables | Staff Types;

  2. Select the Staff Type that belongs to the employee group to be affected;

  3. For each earnings code, select the Distribution option if you want to apply the distribution to the selected earnings;

  4. Specify the mandatory and optional increase classifications in the Mandatory Increase Economic Classification and Optional Increase Economic Classification fields, respectively.

Configuring the Employee File

  1. In Human Resources | Employees | Professional Information | Staff Type, make sure the employee's Staff Type field is correctly identified;

  2. If you're making the increase through the employee's file, fill in the Change Reason field in the Career History. If, instead, you make the increase through the Career Advancement utility, you must also specify the reason for the change;

  3. On the Parameters tab, specify the reason for the change so that the grid of employees to change includes the specified reason. In the Employees to Change grid, you can also adjust the reason, tailoring it as needed.

In both cases, for the distribution to be carried out, the only change reasons considered will be Mandatory or Optional. The change reason Other will not be considered for the purposes of the economic classification distribution.
