The warehouse location configuration allows the user to define, for each warehouse where a part is stored, its exact physical location within the warehouse.

This feature facilitates rapid identification of materials and improves the efficiency of storage and picking processes.

As an example, a coding system based on Aisle/Row/Shelf/Box can be used, such as A1R2S3B4 or, in simpler cases, A1B4.

Note: this coding can be adapted to the structure and organization of each warehouse.

The defined location will be available in the following lists:

  • Parts/Warehouses;
  • Parts Stock.

This ensures data consistency and supports daily inventory management operations.

Add locations to a warehouse

To add locations to a warehouse, follow these steps:

  1. Access Parts and Inventory | Warehouses;
  2. Select a warehouse;
  3. In the Warehouse Locations tab, click Add.

Note: warehouse locations are listed in alphabetical order;

The Copy to New option on the warehouse tab does not copy warehouse locations.
