The series creation assistant allows to create one or several series for Documents, Purchases, Sales, Inventory, Current Accounts, Cash Management, and Internals simultaneously, quickly and easily.
This assistant provides two options for the creation of the following series:
- Creation of a completely new series;
- Creation of a series copying the attributes of an existent series.
Create new series
- Access Administrator | [Company] | Business Application Foundation | Series Creation;
- Select the documents for series creation;
- Choose the documents you wish to create, copy or change series;
- Select the operation Create a Series copying the attributes from an existent series;
- Indicate the series Name and Description; Note:The verification button indicates if there are series with that name for the selected documents;
- Indicate which series attributes to create; Note: Only the attributes that are common to all Documents are available, all the remaining must be set up afterwards in the corresponding document setups.
- Check the operations summary;
- Finally, click Finish.
Create a Series by copying the attributes of an already existing series
- Access Administrator | [Company] | Business Application Foundation | Series Creation;
- Select the documents for series creation;
- Choose the documents you wish to create, copy or change series;
- Select the operation Create a Series indicating all attributes;
- Indicate the series to be copied; Note: The verification button allows to check if the series exists for all the selected documents (the copy is only made if the series to be copied exists in the document in which the new series is being created).
- Select the attributes to be copied;
- Indicate the series Name, Description, Posting and the remaining attributes copied from the previous series; Note: The controls regarding the copied attributes are shown as deactivated;
- Check the operations summary;
- Finally, click Finish.
This assistant automates the series creation process in several documents, allowing to change years quickly and easily, you only need to copy the attributes from the previous year.
