Evolution
When creating or editing a document in which the series has included VAT, the system will consider that the unitary prices of the items match a value with VAT included.
As far as the summary chart of values is concerned, the information is presented as follows:
- Goods/Services: Total value of the goods/services without VAT;
- Discounts: Total discount value with included VAT;
- VAT: Total VAT value calculated for the goods/services;
- Others: Total value of Other Services with included VAT;
- Subtotal: Sum of the four previous parts with included VAT (the part "Discounts" is considered a negative value)
In this situation, the discounts are presented with included VAT. For that, the Goods/Services value is adjusted so that its sum with the document VAT value equals the total Goods/Services value on the document grid.
Note: As previously specified, the values on the grid have VAT included.
Example
Consider an item in the value of 120€ with included VAT (20%) and a discount of 10%. The following document summary chart of values would have the following information:
| Goods/Services | 102.00 |
| Discounts: | 12.00 |
| VAT: | 18.00 |
| Total: | 108,00 |
- Goods/Services + VAT = Item Unitary Price Total (Grid)
- Goods/Services + 18,00 = 120,00 <=> Goods/Services = 102,00
