Evolution
The editor grid allows a set of operations related to information/document copies printing and document rows traceability.
Set up grid printing
To print from an editor grid, you should select the option Print available in the grid row context options. Printing is performed according to the advanced editor configuration for the corresponding document/user, and only the specified columns are printed.
To configure the grid printing, follow these steps:
- Access [Marketing & Sales / Procurement] | General | Resources | Tools | Editor Advanced Configuration;
- Select the editor you wish to change;
- Select the document you wish to change;
- Define in the rows the columns to include when printing activating the column "Print";
- Click Save.
This way, when creating a document, you can print it using the grip row context option Print.
In the header and footer, only the discount and totalizers' values will be presented, in case the Unit price column is also selected for printing. Otherwise, it will not be shown when printing. The data relative to the header and footer cannot be configured.
Print document copies
To print the document copies in the same printing instruction, you must use the specific report: GCPVLS70 - Sales Doc. - Grouped Copies Printout.
This report has the particularity of not only grouping in the same instruction all copies to be printed also making the best possible use of printing space when a document has more than one page.
If you wish this report's behavior to be used in a customized report, you must create your report by duplicating the GCPVLS70 - Sales Doc. - Grouped Copies Printout system report. If you do not create it by duplicating this report, it will not work.
See row traceability
In the purchase and sales editors, it is possible to track the row path using the different documents.
To check the row traceability, follow these steps:
- Access Marketing & Sales | Sales | Documents;
- Edit a document;
- Access the context option Row Traceability.
Note: This example is applicable to the sales editor.
Copy rows
The row copy is a free and flexible mechanism to transform rows, that allows to view the traceability of the copies performed. The greatest advantage of this feature is the fact that this allows the transformation between different modules, such as Sales, Purchases, Inventory and Internal.
To copy rows, follow these steps:
- Access [Marketing & Sales / Purchases] | [Sales / Purchases / General] | Rows Copy;
- In the General tab, define the source document: - Module (Sales/Purchases/Stocks or Internal); - Document: specify the type of document (example: order to supplier), the series it is associated to and the document number; - Entity: type of entity (example: Supplier). In this option, you are not required to specify an entity, because when clicking Update the app will present all documents that are suitable to the remaining definitions performed; - Document Date; - No.State: filters by number of state associated to the documents (only available on the Public Sector version);
- Define the target document: - Module (Sales/Purchases/Stocks or Internal); - Document: specify the type of document, the series it is associated to and the target document number. If no number is inserted ("0"), the app will assign the target document the last number on the existent sequence; - Entity: specify the type of entity (Supplier or Other Creditor). It is required to specify a target entity for the document to be created; - Copy unit prices: you can select if you wish to copy the unitary price of the source document (when selecting the option) or to calculate it according to the target document rules; - Suggest default entity data: when selecting this option, it allows the target document to be filled in with all data associated to the selected entity (example: address, payment modes, etc., defined on the entity file).
- Click Update;
- Select the rows to be copied;
- Click Copy;
- After executing this operation, a new document of the type specified in Target is generated and is presented, filled in with the selected rows and entity;
- On the Restrictions tab, define the source documents to present for the row copy in detail (for example, only documents for an entity that has rows with the item type Goods).
After the update, in the results grid, the following columns are presented: Warehouse (Whse.), Item Type (document item row), Warehouse, Location on the warehouse (Loc.), Batch, Item description, Quantity, Unit(s), Unitary Price, Document currency, Copy (when selected, this option means that the row will be copied).
It is also possible to copy rows from several source documents, simply select the desired rows. However, these same rows will only constitute a single target document. To copy rows, the target document must have associated the same Posting type as the source document.In the Public Sector solution, with the item set up as "Transformation per value", the column "Quantity" is blocked, and it is only possible to transform the row value.
If the target document controls quantities fulfilled in the source, the row copy has the same behavior as the document transformation.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
To implement the information requirement regarding RAL in Portugal, you can create a message to include the documents that establish the sales and purchase contract - Client Orders, Invoices, Invoices/Receipt, etc.
Example:
With the corresponding changes:
- Companies associated to centers of arbitration of consumer conflicts: "Company associated to Center of Arbitration [insert the CACC], with the following contact(s): [insert the CA contact(s)]. In the event of a dispute, the consumer can appeal to this Dispute Settlement Body. For more information, see the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.pt)."
- Companies not associated: "In the event of a dispute, the consumer can appeal to an Alternative Consumer Dispute Settlement Body: [insert the RAL entity(ies) name(s) and contact(s), including email and address]. For more information, see the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.pt)."
To include custom messages when printing sales and current account documents, we suggest reading this help article.
